LOOKING FOR Y2K FAMILY FOR FRENCH DOCUMENTARY

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Sonoma County : One Thread

Theirry vivier, a French videographer, is looking for an American family from this area to use in his documentary on preparations in America for Y2K. I have watched Thierry work and he is easy to be around, is not obtrusive, brings only himself and his equipment to the scene and asks intelligent questions.

Here is his description of the project:

"The project is a documentary on Y2K for the french public network. Most of it will be shot in france but we are also doing a part in the States to show how seriously the population is getting prepare which is not the case in France at all. I am shooting three scenes.

- One is a city meeting with official from the State of California. I shot in Santa Cruz 10 days ago. - One is a workshop which I shot last weekend -- Dan Drasin's affordable alternative energy workshop.

- The last scene I am looking for is a family showing their home preparation. Again I am not looking for any survivalist living in a bunker in the mountains of colorado!!` but I want a well prepared family who is well aware of the y2k issue and who is prepare to live in some kind of self sufficiency for a while. That means probably food and water provision, alternative electricity (generator or solar), eventually garden or any other idea in the same area.

I would like to come to their home for a couple hours to do an interview where they could show me everything they have prepared."
