Which pocket for Wisner pocket expedition

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

If I get a new Wisner Pocket Expedition, do I have to keep it in a specific pocket? Do I need a new shirt to go with it & use a front pocket, or does it go in the pockets of my Levis? If I put it in the back pocket of the Levis, will it break when I sit down? Do I have to get a special photo vest accessory to have the correct pocket for it, or is there a line of photo togs made with special pockets for just this camera? All answers will be appreciated & if you don't have a sense of humor, disregard this foolish question altogether.

Try keeping it in the same pocket you had the money in before you got it

I find that mine fits in a Gap Pocket Tee shirt nicely. It also fits into an Extra Cheese Flavored "Hot Pocket" frozen snack food, so you don't have to go hungry while you're shooting.

And, as everyone who reads the Stockphoto Mailing List knows, I have absolutely no sense of humor.

The reason I bought a Toyo was to avoid comtemplations such as this.

Red leather pockets with brass fittings only for the small version, mahogany or cherry pockets for an 8x10, and the rare convertible Plasmat pocket for the larger PE's. When Wisner releases its much-anticipated 35mm Pocket Expedition, they will announce the requisite "pocket" specs for it. Rumored choices include

1) hollowed-out early P67's for the traditionalist 2) Leica Visoflexes for post-Marxist revolutionaries 3) Yankee Agitanks for the burgeoning sadomasochist set

A pita pocket fits the bill quite well. Especially on those long hikes into the mountains when you get hungry.

Deardorffs come with their own pockets.

I envy the fact that you still HAVE a pocket! I ust bought a complete Arca-Swiss system, and well ...

Obviously it goes in the bottomless pocket, which you had to have had in order to buy it in the first place.

Does a hole in the pocket have any effect on the film? Or could it be the unadvertised, non-geared, towards-the-earth's axis, whole-camera free fall feature?
