It Saddens my heart...

It saddens my heart to see so much division betwween the Body of Christ. I urge you all to remember that "our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the rulers of this present darkness, and against the evil in Heavenly Realms!" (Eph 6:12)

Did you know there is even division amongst those who think themselves Catholic? Today I met a lady who is a "Traditional Roman Catholic" who does not go by any of the revisions decided upon by the pope, the head of the church at Vatican II. They apparently believe that there were some protestants on the Vatican II Council and that the whole revision of the Mass took the focus off God and onto the people (eg. Priest facing toward people, communion recieving in your hands, etc....) I don't know what to think! A ship divided against itself will surely sink. I pray for unity and peace among all divisions who make up the Body of Christ.

It saddens me as well, because if we all gather in the name of Christ & disagree, how can Christ be there in there midst of us? We should all strive for harmony so that Christ can be present when we are gathered before Him.

dear matthew: this posting has only one intention: to make our *traditonal roman catholic brothers* think a bit. the Mass is a re-enacting of the Last Supper, is it not? was Jesus then turning his back to the apostles? did he say "TAKE, eat; this is my body"? the word TAKE means to give something in your hand or put something in your tongue? what language was Jesus using: greek, latin or aramean (this being the language used and understood by the simple people if Israel at that time)?

i could give many other reasons for the changes brought about by Vatican II, not that i'm inventing them, they simply follow from the Vatican II documents.

The power struggles at so many levels within the Church is what one of our Popes spoke aof as " The Smoke Of Satan. " Vatican 11 of which I had the pleasure of knowing both Bishop Morrocco and Cardinal MqQuigan were in part ' Authors " of the final presentation.

This was a momentous moment in our history and will take much time and humility by all to be accepted. Thisis always our hope that we be a united family. Alas though as humans we seek to satisfy ourselves and not The Father.

I have always beleived only have accepted in these past seven years that without Christ

I have always beleived only have accepted in these past seven years that without Christ I AM NOTHING! What A lesson to learn which has taken me over forty years to hear. Now my hope is that I am able to listen to others of the same mindset.

We must be patient with ourselves and others who are struggling along the fine narrow path.

Peace And Well Being.

Mucha, I agree that the ideal is for complete harmony throughout the Body of Christ, yet we remain human, no? I conclude that it is not possible for us to all believe in the same way about everything. Such disagreements have been with us from the very beginning. Paul and Barnabus disagreed and had to part ways never having come into harmony. Paul disagreed with Peter and confronted him over the circumcision issue. Peter humbly yielded to the truth of Paul's teaching and so harmony was won in this case. I believe the reason behind our divisions is pride and the key to our unity is humility.

it is my belief that this writer shall be in a minority position here as well as elsewhere. when one is steadfast in his beliefs efforts to alter the thinking process usually meet with little or no success. if it is said, behold, he is in the upstairs room, do not believe him....for many are called and few are chosen. for many years, i have felt abandoned by my church. i have witnessed the systematic and relentless destruction of the sanctity of our churches. the sanctity of life. the mass in many of our churches border on farce. in some a circus atmosphere prevails. one common thread is that it was the dictates of vatican ll. i do not believe that these things were accomplished at the directive of rome, when cardinals ottaviani and bacci published under the imprimature of rome a "short critical study of the new order of mass". even prior to his "excommunication" (meaning we don't talk to him) archbishop marcel lefevre wrote an examination of the shocking similarities between the "new mass" (novos ordo) and the luther mass. due to the work mandated by the american catholic bishops, the international commission of english (icel) used such language in translation in psalters, bibles, ordination ritual, et al. that the vatical withdrew their imprimatur an requested other personell to do this work. the language had so altered the meaning of scripture so as to render it unfit for use. our sacraments have been demeaned. there can be no excuse for the behavior exemplified by many of the church clergy. we may pray for guidance, unity and the repose of the souls but the church must be united in ecclesiastical language, prayer and devotion. we are balkanizing the church for no good. pax domini
