Missed class by Beth Cramer

Class on April 28, 1999 involved both ITV and Barb McDonald. Robert Lloyd covered inferential statistics from chapter 10 of "How to Design and Evaluate Research in Education. Steps were given to deal with experimental data,as well as,how to organize, graph and interpret it. Barb covered chapters 12 and 13 of our research text. Barb noted the importance of table 11.5 on page 236. It covers commonly used statistical techniques. She also mentioned the SPFS program, a computer program, available at Rainy River Community College. Barb suggested reading over the case studies at the end of chapters 12 and 13 for a better understanding of statistical analysis.

Hi Beth, Dawn,Karen and Kim, The meeting on Friday with Terri Shannon produced some helpful suggestions for all cohort members. The particular suggestion for your group is that you need to do a broader review of the literature to formulate your question. (You may come up with a similar question, but need to review more of the literature in the field.) This is all part of the learning process to write the best research paper possible. We will be in touch. Thank you, Mary Ann
