Recipe for Kids Play Dough??greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
No,this is not a really important question,in light of this weeks events, but I have a lot of kids, and have searched everywhere, and cannot find a recipe for play dough.. The old type play dough, from water, flour, salt, and what else? Does anyone have an old thread to point me to,or have a recipe stashed somewhere? I"ve checked the archives, but unless I fell asleep during the scanning,I can't find anything similar.. You can email me at home if you have a recipe, and if you have anything else to pass along to entertain/amuse little ones during the coming non-electric times,I'd sure appreciate it...address is real, thanks a lot..Cynthia

Hi Cynthia,Welcome back! Being a lurker and occasional poster on this thread, I remember you from one of your first posts.
As I recall, you're married to a physician. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
'Just out of curiosity, what's your husband's opinion of Y2k these days? And,. . .in what area of the U.S. do you reside?
Reply if you have the time. . .
:)

BTW - when the kids are finished with it for the day, Put it into a plastic baggie and keep it in the refrigerator for next time. It will last indefinitely.Jolly

Cynthia,The above links give great play dough recipes. One trick that I've learned is to add a package of unsweetened Kool-aid to the dough instead of food coloring. This gives it a nice scent.
