why in the hell do we need to fill out supplemetary applications?

a few days ago i tried to enroll by phone at sac city for the fall. i got through all of the boring dehumanizing robot talk, gave my birth date and social security number, listened to all the jive, and finaly when it came time to enroll the droid on the other end told me to go down to admissions and records and pick up a supplementary application. i guess i could have picked one up during the spring, and it would have saved me the trouble when trying to get my classes by phone, but in my defence i can honestly say that i have never heard of a supplementary application before. i've atteneded other collages, and never had to fill out this form upon returning in the fall. why do we need these forms, and who looks at them?

Well Thomas, I think these records are pretty much public record. Anyone and their mom can look at them. Seriously though, I think the school uses them to keep track of enrollment statistics, such as the income levels and employment hours of students. I think it is a pretty good idea, but I am a jackbooted federale...or something.
