Has anyone ever thought how little God thinks of money? I have. Just look at the people He gives it to.

. . . and how often He asks us to give it away.

He thinks really little of it? Solomon was very wealty? As was David? Have you ever visited the web site of the "catholic" museum? Quite a bit of wealth there too!

So who does The God give it to?

Jamey, God prospered Solomon and David as a sign to all the world of His blessing and favor upon them. Under the New Testament, we have the greatest treasure in all of heaven and earth dwelling within us, the Presence of the Holy Spirit. And the "signs" of His favor is born in the fruit and gifts of the Spirit that are manifest through us. There is no better example of this than when Peter healed the man at the temple gate. Peter didn't have material wealth to share, but he did have the power of the Holy Spirit which forever healed the man and set him free. Which would you say has more value? Money to cover the next meal or so, or deliverance from a lifetime of pain and suffering? One of the reasons God asks us to give to those who do not have is to teach us that the true treasure is the One inside us.
