Where is Hell

If satan is evil, why would God put him in a place of evil?In order for satan to be tormented,he is going to have to be surrounded by rightousness, where he cannot escape.Where there is no evil, nothing but truth.Look through the scriptures, what torments satan, the Word of God.The Word is the fire, the purifier, its also the water. What did the rich man want, water,to drink,no he wanted to be in rightousness,he wanted just a taste of the living water but it was to late. The world we live in now is hell for those that don't know God,only they don't realize it.While your here you still have an opportunity to receive the water, but when you die, your fate is sealed. Then you will Know your in hell because you will find out there is a God and you will see the truth and love, but you will not be able to enter in.Thats the torment.

Kenneth

Your arguments are those of children whom I have taught first level religious studies aged 7 - 12. If you are going to dialogue with adults then do so. If not go to a site where your convelutions are accepted and gummed to death.

This is a Catholic site for those wanting to learn express their faith and help one another. Go away you silly little man-boy. Jean B.

Response to Where is hell

Jean,

I find kenneth's answers and questions very simple also. But, contrary to your understanding that is exactly what the word of God is , simple and pure and a child can understand the basic principles.

I must add though, if you want to speak as an adult let's go. Please answer this question!

Why do you , who belong to a religious and political organization (RCC), have citizenship in the United States of America when we are founded on separation of church and state. I ask this because my forefathers came to this country to get away from your kind and have a place where we can worship our God without govermental rule!

Abraham Lincoln stated, "As long as God gives me a heart to feel, a brain to think, or a hand to execute my will, I will devote it against that power which has attempted to use the machinery of the courts to destroy the rights and character of an American citizen. But there is a thing which is very certain; it is, that if the American people could learn what I know of the fierce hatred of the generality of the priests of Rome against our institutions, our schools, our most sacred rights, and our so dearly bought liberties, they would drive them away, tomorrow, from among us, or would shoot them as traitors. . . . The history of the last thousand years tells us that wherever the Church of Rome is not a dagger to pierce the bosom of a free nation, she is a stone to her neck, and a ball to her feet, to paralyze her and prevent her advance in the ways of civilization, science, intelligence, happiness, and liberty. . . . I do not pretend to be a prophet. But though not a prophet, I see a very dark cloud on our horizon. And that dark cloud is coming from Rome. It is filled with tears of blood. It will rise and increase, till its flanks will be torn by a flash of lightening, followed by a fearful peal of thunder. Then a cyclone such as the world has never seen, will pass over this country, spreading ruin and desolation from north to south. After it is over, there will be long days of peace and prosperity; for popery, with its Jesuits and merciless Inquisition, will have been forever swept away from our country. Neither I nor you, but our children, will see those things." The beloved Lincoln made the statement just given at the conclusion of the trial of Mr. Chiniquy, author of the book, Fifty Years in the Church of Rome.

It seems that you would be in danger of heresy by being a citizen of the USA?

Micheal,

I venture to say you have been reared in a home lacking common decency manners and etiquette. When you enter someone's else home via e:mail or a chat line it is fully expected respect will be shown.

You show non of these qualities at any level. Therefore I ask you to leave my home and come back when you have gained a level of responsiblity. - Jean B.

IT is such a nice quotation: THEY WOULD DRIVE THEM AWAWY, TOMORROW, FROM AMONG US, OR WOULD SHOOT THEM AS TRAITORS....

this makes the spanish inquisition look like a childrens play, and of course IT TAKES PLACE in the LAND OF THE FREE, AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE!!!!!!!

this is a nice invitation to all catholics to visit the USA!!!!

Enrique

Are you in support of this hatred towards Catholics? I am confused with your reply. - Jean B.

Response to Where is hell

Jean, I think Enrique was just being sarcastic. Personally, I have some doubts regarding the authenticity of the Lincoln quote.

Response to Where is hell

My my,i thought you catholics were above all this CHILDISH namecalling.Thats your problem, you and your "religon" are not simple. How many changes to your doctrine do you make in a years time,i wonder.God said he never changes, isn't that simple, being the same forever and forever, same love, same mercy, same judgement, same WORD.

-- kenneth (bulldawg1@hotmail.com), June 28, 1999.

Response to Where is hell

Thank you Jean,

you have truly answered my question. Your church claims to be "the church" yet i who seek God am told to leave. Quite funny isn't it. You shall know them by their fruits: love thine enemy! Take the mote out of thine own eye before you take the mote out of your brothers!

BTW, i doubt the truthness to the Abraham Lincoln quote also. I just brought it up to show you what the RCC teaches you to do and think.

Test the spirits!

-- Michael(non-catholic) (mdroe@erinet.com), June 28, 1999.

Response to Where is hell

Obviously that Lincoln quote hit to the core didn't it?

It totally proves my point doesn't it?

The leaders of the RCC seek world religous and political dominion don't they?

If you look , and it is not that hard to find , you will find the Vatican's agenda.

Babylon=code word Rome

Response to Where is hell

Dear Kenneth, I think that both heaven and hell is right here. I think when we die, if we're good, we go toward a light. If we're bad, we go into a immediate judgement and then are sent to a total blackness. I think that the soul, the spark, or the part of us that is made in the image and likeness of God, is what enters another dimension and is judged to be either good or bad. If after your life rewiew, you're judged to be good and have used the talents that God gave you on earth, you go to heaven. On the other hand, if you've led a life devoid of goodness and love, you're sent to hell, which is to me the total absence of God. In order for hell to be punishing, we need to know what we're missing. I think all souls before the judgement at death get a little view of heaven. If you're worthy, you get to stay and are welcomed into the world of God. If you're judged to be evil and devoid of all love you go to hell because there isn't any part of you that is God-like. I think that at any time we have the ability to ask God to forgive us, but it is a choice we must make. Therefore only a fool would go to hell.

-- Ellen K. Hornby (dkh@canada.com), July 08, 1999.

Response to Where is hell

Ellen,

I do believe that we are worthy of heaven only by the grace of God, by the atonement of Jesus on the cross. If we believe in his saving work (if we have faith which is given and strengthened by the Holy Spirit) through baptism and the other sacraments, we are proclaimed NOT GUILTY in the judgement and so enter into the house of our Father because we are no longer slaves but children.

Response to Where is hell

I just stumbled onto this "conversation", so am in no way qualified nor have the right to pass judgement on any of you. I must, however, point out that some of the things I have read, from both Catholics and non Catholics alike, must have Jesus just shaking his head in disbelief. Anyone who must make their point by attacking, ridiculing, name calling, etc., has already distorted the message and clouded it with their own ego and pride.

-- Mary...Catholic (dangato@earthlink.net), July 11, 1999.

Mary, I agree with you. I realize that the things I am about to mention here are not exactly the topic of this site, but for the benefit of all readers here (myself included), I'd like to just share some things to help remind us of the big picture of what this life is all about. Someone reading this may in fact die very shortly in a car wreck, or heart attack, or some other unforeseen thing, and whether they go to Heaven or Hell, all these arguements are not going to matter much. Im not arguing with anyone, or trying to make a point; I'm just contributing in such a way that I can hopefully build up somebody's faith and hope in Christ in case they need a boost. Here's what I am concerned with the most in this life, 'which is but a vapor that rises for a moment and passes away': What am I doing for the cause of Christ? Am I spreading the gospel? Am I praying blessings on others, including my enemies? Am I letting Christ be seen in my life by my example? Am I talking with God on a daily basis, and giving him all the worship and praise He is deserving of? Am I loving my neighbor by showing love and giving of myself, even when it hurts? I am not living in a fantasy where I think everything is wonderful. I have problems too. This life sucks sometimes. Please just don't let disagreements with each other get you down. People are never going to see eye-to-eye on this stuff. Pleasing God is what's most important, and exercising your faith in Him too. These debates usually just leave a person feeling angry at those that disagree, and there's usually a handful of jerks that like to come on these sites and get everyone all riled up. Real life is so much more rewarding than arguing with people on-line. Get out and do something for God. Undoubtedly, I have probably upset someone... but that's OK. Because I've only tried to help, and not hurt anyone. I've tried to encourage and edify. Remember though what I said at the beginning of my message: "I'm not arguing with anyone or trying to prove a point". -Brandon
