Ultra-high efficiency Elec Refrig Suggestions?greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
We are looking into purchasing an super high-efficiency electric refrigerator for our home; these are generally smaller than your typical 18 or 22 cft models sold in stores. I know there are 2 or 3 manufacturers out there making these, but i've heard some are real junk.Does anyone have specific knowledge of a reliable unit?

You may have waited too long. Mr. Solar,http://www.mrsolar.com/catalogue10.html#new
lists solar powered refrigerators. He's about given up on most 'normal' units, including propane fired ones. Backordered!

I especially like the "do-it-yourself" kit for $675. Not fancy, but a person could build a solar powered frig for under $1500.
