Livid again...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) Forum Moderators : One Thread

You'd think I'd know better by now...

Just finished teleconference (President's Council on Y2K).

There's no coordination happening with chemical manufacturing.

Hello? Hello!?! It's July.

There's not going to be any coordination happening. Clueless, I tell ya!!!!!!

I'm giving this town (Wilmington, North Carolina) 30 days to get its chemical manufacturing act together. 100% on board, go public with what we know...

Spittin' in the wind, aren't I?

-got bugout bag for kids?

Critt,

Need some assistance here. I think you know this group. Just received an "e" from someone requesting...

Diane:

You mentioned in a thread I saw a day or so ago that you knew or had talked to someone in charge of the Yourdon forum.

Would you please call them and ask that the thread

National Civic Preparedness (July 1) Meeting Minutes: 34 Participants!

http://www.greenspun.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg.tcl?msg_id= 0012TE

be removed. I don't konw who posted it, but I think it isn't appropriate to post the login id and password for a private forum.

Hoping you will help.

###

The statement...

National Y2K Civic Preparedness Telephone Conference Thursday July 1, 1999 2:00 3:30 p.m. EST
See Attachment: July 1.doc for formatted version--might be easier reading The following are instructions for accessing Community Preparedness Conference Call List at:

http://www.itpolicy.gsa.gov/mks/yr2000/members/index.htm

1. Go to the above web site. In the pop up box type the following: User ID: community Password: pcy2kc

###

Do you know this group and is it private or public? Sounds like the same conference.

What would the policy be on posting that access code?

Thanks,

Diane

May I take primary responsibility for this thread? We may get official feedback about it.

> What would the policy be on posting that access code?

As a courtesy, I don't post other people's access codes unless permission has been granted.

I got Jan Nickerson's permission prior to posting her response to the teleconference.

FWIW, I don't know why they feel the need for login and password. Anybody can get one by registering.

I'll ask Tuesday. (Monday is holiday)

Critt

- please forward this to the person who brought this concern forward. Thanks.

Critt,

Snipped the access code... for now.

Go ahead and take responsibility for the thread. Once you talk to Jan you can repost the code. Fine with me.
