Ammunition: Bulk mail order dealers names neededgreenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
Good morning:I am looking for sources of ammo. I have Cascade Ammunition's website, but they are out of .357. I'm looking for somewhere where I can buy by the 1,000 round.

Jon,
Spring for a copy of The Shotgun News. You'll find more sources and information than you'll ever need, in any issue.

and corrine l,
Careful there. Your ignorance is showing. Anyone wishing to become proficient enough with a firearm to be a safe and competent user of one could easily go through a thousand rounds of ammunition in very short order. A single day would be pretty busy, but two days? Easy!

Jon---the Shotgun News purchase is a great idea. I have had the best luck with Classic Arms and J & G Sales for my ammo purchases. Good prices and delivery is under four days.

hard, you're probably right as usual. i usually lose track due to the blackouts. mommy cleans the shells up while i'm "sleeping" so i guess we use more than i'm aware of. i'll admit i'm not much of a numbers person.

Haven't actually ordered but not too long ago saw a good website (sorry no URL) for Cascade Ammo out of Oregon. Good luck!

Here are a few places to get you started. I have ordered from all of them except Samco, and have had no problems. Keep in mind that for most places you will need to fax a copy of your drivers license or other picture ID, along with a statement that "you are over 21, and there are no legal rewasons you cannot posses ammunition". Happy shopping!Cole Distributing

Eeeeeeggggaaaaddddsss... I am glad I just had a cup of coffee. Just re-read your post and realized you already KNOW about Cascade. Thanks for not flaming me folks!

Go With Cole Dist. I've bought .223 and 7.62X39 from them. They deliver. They have had problems with their suppliers so you might want to call . But they have good stuff. On another note You can shoot up a thousand rounds in a month at the range(3 boxes, twice a week), just to get proficient.

Thanks, everyone. The emphasis there was on 1,000 X ??, not just a single 1,000 rounds.I have a friend in Tennessee who is an avid shooter and reloader. I know how much ammo you need to expend to learn to hit what you aim at. It ain't no good to just scare it.......
