Medic training- Resources

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) Preparation Forum : One Thread

For those interested in medic training, medicalcorps.org has classes, info on their site. The militia of Montana site, logoplex.com/resouces/mom/ has books and all sorts of info, including video tapes of the medical corps main teacher, Chuck Fenwick, if you cannot travel to one of his classes.

I liked the class a lot, the dental info was especially good because so hard to find. Chuck also has lots of supplies which are quite inexpensive.

That is good information, Seriphima. Other (low cost) good possibilities are to take:

(1) First aid classes (basic, advanced) from the Red Cross.

(2) Emergency Medical Technician class from your local Community College.

Everyone ought to have good basic first aid and CPR skills, Y2K or not!
