Question for Taz re: baby wipes

Hello Taz

I was reading back threads and found your recipe for home made baby wipes. I want to try this, but want to know does it have to be distilled water? Would ordinary bottled water or high quality municipal tap water do? Your input is very much appreciated.

City Girl...wasn't me that posted the recipe for wipes. I buy mine at the dollar store. Sorry that I cannot help. Maybe whomever posted it will see this and jump in.

citygirl,

It wasn't my post either, but I think you could feel comfortable using whatever water your baby is usually bathed in, whether tap or well water. However, since a gallon of distilled water can go along way in making these wipes, it's a small investment if you'd prefer to avoid minerals or chlorine.

I've heard the homemade baby wipes are very satisfactory. Have fun!

Seem to remember a discussion on this ages ago on another forum. Someone thought the home-made wipes would go moldy. You might make some now and see what happens in a couple of months. BTW, the commercial ones I by for stash are put into ziplocks with as much air pressed out as possible, just to be on the safe side.

If you buy the baby wipes, try to get them WITHOUT the lanolin as the sheep are srayed with some chemicals and there might be some checmical in the lanolin.
