Rush Mentioned Clinton's Y2K Bunker

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Rush mentioned the Y2K bunker that Clinton's and his agents are building today. One of his staff members asked Rush if his was built yet and Rush said no, it won't be done for a year and they haven't even poured the cement yet. I really wonder what Rush thinks about Clinton's bunker and how many of his listeners are Y2K GI's?

Rush is a moron. If Rush tells his people to be GI's then they will be. If he tells them to be Polly's then they will be that.

-- Mr Meeks (mrmeeks@anywhere.com), July 29, 1999.

Rush is a part of the etablishment and has been for a long time. Compared to his origional act it sounds as if he has been neutered. You will never hear him say anything significant unless it has to do with the Dems. or Clinton

-- Guns, Grub & Gold (home@the city.com), July 29, 1999.

Guns, Grub & Gold--your certainly right about that. Ever since Clinton has been president, he's not had one single show where he hasn't mentioned Clinton. Frankly, I'm getting tired of his mouth, he needs a new song and dance. He's been anti-Y2K and very rarely mentions it, he only makes fun of people who are preparing.

-- tired of rush (tired of rush@tiredofrush.com), July 29, 1999.

I have to agree with the general sentiments expressed here. I used to listen to Rush every chance I got, but his ridiculing of the Y2K problem has really soured me on him. He is arrogant and a big-time DWGI. I hope his listeners are smart enough to think for themselves, but I don't hold out much hope for most of them.

-- Nabi Davidson (nabi7@yahoo.com), July 29, 1999.

As a staunch Conservative/Libertarian/Constitutionalist,

Rush is an imbecile when it comes to Y2K and any mention of government involved conspiracies or stories such as the Gold Grab and the Global Banking Cartels.

He is however, dead nuts on regarding his analysis of Liberal Socialists.

And contrary to popular liberal mythology, Rushs' listeners are not "Ditto Zombies" like Mr. Meeks suggests above. Quite the contrary actually. If you want to see a Zombie who sways and woos at whatever marching orders come down the pike from on high, check out Clintonistas, the Media, members of the NAACP, the ACLU and Liberal Democrats like Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson Lee.

Goosestepping morons all, that NEVER break rank no matter how ridiculous and absurd the notion.

-- INVAR (gundark@sw.net), July 29, 1999.

Mr. Limbaugh has ridiculed y2k from the first time he was faxed and emailed about for sure. Any guesses as to when he changes his tune? Will he allow his program subject matter to be swayed by the impending devastation of his new found wealth?

-- Charles R. (chuck_roast@trans.net), July 29, 1999.

Yes, Rush is an idiot, and not just about Y2K. He's an idiot every time he opens his mouth. But isn't is funny that when he agrees with your mindset Invar, then he is right as can be.

-- gilda (jess@listbot.com), July 29, 1999.

He is a male chavunist and had a dumb policy on NAFTA also.

-- Moore Dinty moore (not@thistime.com), July 29, 1999.

Truth is truth Gilda.

Too bad you're dumb, deaf and blind to see it.

Or you simply don't possess the courage to face the truth about your debased ideology. It is evil, disguised as compassion.

But Rush is wrong about Y2K, and a few other things. He at least has the courage to admit when he realizes is wrong...even though he can be a pompous windbag at times.

-- INVAR (gundark@sw.net), July 29, 1999.

Bravo Gilda. When they agree with Rush he is right-on but when they disagree he is a idiot. But 99% of Rush dittoheads agree with Rush on Y2k. So Invar must be a commie, pinko, liberal, socialist, etc.. at least in the eyes of 99% of his lemming followers of Rush.

-- Mr Meeks (MrMeeks@rashlumbago.com), July 29, 1999.

Way off base again Mr. Meeks.

It's obvious you don't even listen to his program, so your opinion has no credibility about his listeners whatsoever.

Rush also thinks Libertarians and 3rd party candidates are a waste of time and detrimental to Conservatism. That doesn't make them pinko commie bastards in the eyes of his listeners (which by the way are made up of a huge percentage of Liberal Democrats according to ratings demographics). That simply makes them a nuisance.

No sir. In the eyes of Rushs' devout listeners, I can guarantee that you and Gilda hold the fine distinction of being Liberal-Commie-Pinko Socialists.

-- INVAR (gundark@sw.net), July 29, 1999.

Rush, unfortunately as it is for Y2K preparations, represents the attitude of the majority of Conservative (both the social and fiscal varieties) in this country. To those people, trying to explain that we face something as potentially devastating as Y2K flies in the face of their belief in America.

"After all dad-gummit, we beat the Japs and the Nazis in the Big One. We rebuilt the world in our image after that war. And we by-God put a man on the moon! There ain't no silly computer failure thingy that can stop our country. An' besides, we can fix that mess before lunch with just one hand when we get a good mind to."

"Besides, Wall Street is in business to make money. It's where I made my money. If this was such an all-fired big problem they'd take care of things to make sure nothing gets in their way."

Rush's core audience is the second most DGI/DWGI bunch in the country, after our hard-core, technology-god polly friends. Rush and company say "They won't let this happen." instead of the pollys chanting "We cannot let you doomers make this happen."

WW

-- Wildweasel (vtmldm@epix.net), July 29, 1999.

Amen WW...right on.

-- INVAR (gundark@sw.net), July 29, 1999.

WW, Rush's people believe "They wont let this happen" because they are non-thinking "I'm with Rush" zombies. Y2k proves this more than anything else.

Dittoheads will perish with their leader because they dont have a single thought of their own.

God forbid Rush ever snaps and goes off on a bent, he will bring more people down with him than anyone else in history.

-- Mr Meeks (MrMeeks@hereandnow.com), July 29, 1999.

Bravo INVAR on the Rush analysis. He's dead wrong on NAFTA and y2k, but dead on when describing the destruction that liberalism has caused to our great nation. Liberals aren't to blame, it's gutless pastors and Christians who allowed these idiots to gain the power they have. Mr. Meeks and the socialist Gilda, as well as the rest of us, are about to reap the devastating consequences of decades of liberalism. When TSHTF, the "where's my welfare check/goverment handout" croud will come unglued. The seasoned citizen crowd will cry to the great god government to save them. The DGI's will shudder in disbelief and panic. Folks like Gilda and Mr. Meeks are burnt toast when the hungry masses kick in the door. Do you really think that a country awash in sin will react with civility? The folks who will kick and shove you at Wal-Mart for the last Furbie or Cabbage Patch doll will kill you for a can of beans. God's been merciful to our wicked nation. He will laugh when the calamity begins. If you don't believe it Gilda, check out Proverbs 1:22-27.

Mr. Meeks

You said,

"Rush is a moron. If Rush tells his people to be GI's then they will be. If he tells them to be Polly's then they will be that."

But he sure knows how to sniff out a commie when he smells one.

We'll have Moron that later.

Rush says..."Gonna shine the light of truth on you..."

He's a lot of fun to listen to unless you're a lousy commie/sociofascist and can't stand to hear the facts.

And no I do not agree with everything he says. But I love it when he points out a commie without mouthing the word COMMIE, IDUMEAN,EDOMITE.

Back to the Bunker---

Will Clinton be safe there from nuclear missiles while the rest of America gets toasted?

Perhaps they've built an underground McDonald's restaurant, a small golf course and a kennel camp for Buddy.

Don't know if Hillary has her own bunker in New York...

I am a listner of Rush Limbaugh and have been for a long time. I am not a zombie or a DGI. I think he is often right and entertaining. I am aggravated that he doesn't say much about Y2K. I was also aggravated that he totally agreed with the Flight 800(TWA) investigators that it couldn't have been a missle. Has anyone read the book: The Downing Of Flight 800. I live on Long Island and I think it was a missle. Any way back to Rush, All ditto heads are not idiots. He has taught a lot of people to get their news from other sources and to not be a " Mind-numbed Robot. Just thought you would like to hear another non-fema-Nazi opinion.

-- R.K. Sager (Rkcs462@aol.com), July 30, 1999.

Freeman, I just love your post! You are right on the truth! When I posted than I am a Rush listener, it does not mean I am a Rush follower..someone has to monitor deception. Rush will NEVER give a doomsday scenario to anything because he's a "positive guy." Well hell, what the F**K, if I were on top, hand millions to spend, summer and winter houses here and there, what the hell do you have to complain about? Work harder buddy! Pay more in taxes so I don't have to! That's his agenda! And don't any one come off saying I'm jealous, I'm not, just don't use me to conspire to make you richer.

-- Rush Listener (Rush Listener@~~~~~.com), July 30, 1999.

Trafficjam: I agree. ....and watch out for the great train wreck up ahead. The bridge is out! S. David Bays

-- S. David Bays (sdbays@intplus.com), July 30, 1999.

Fuck you Gilda, Your liberal socialist attitude is showing. And you support that prick in the White house. Is that maybe because he "did" you too?

-- bomber (killliberals@anywhere.suck), July 30, 1999.

I've been thinking about Limbaugh for several months now and it just came to me. Let's ignore all our personal opinions about old Rush and just look at some of the facts underlying his position and stance on y2k:

1. IF he decided y2k was an issue, he would be able to hit many, many people on a daily basis.

2. He has a vested interest in being a GI because, true or not (I'm trying to stay neutral here), he can pin the whole fiasco we've all become so familiar with on poor leadership from Clinton and Gore.

3. One of the lead y2k hawks in Washington is Senator Bennett -- a republican. (I know some feel Bennett is a polly, but he's the best we've got right now and I personally think he's trying pretty hard.)

4. If we could get Rush to bring Bennett on as a guest, we might have more success at alerting the public than all of our personal sermons combined.

I know that Rush's staff agressively scavenges the masses for leads. A couple of carefully thought out letters by pro-rush members of this group (pro-Rush because a fan would likely make the case better) might just do the trick. You get that man discussing/blathering about y2k and you will leave your mark.

Good luck, mothershippers.

I get so tired of the righteous right calling everyone a "commie." Get over it. The 50's witch hunts are over. Such nice folks, falsely branding their friends commies to save their own scaly, cowardly hides. Power seeking morons, spying a communist under every bush. I remember quite well the Army McCarthy hearings and I was just a kid. I saw the whole horrible period on TV the other night, and the commie hunters didn't come off too well.

Trafficjam, do you think that only Mr. Meeks and I will have our doors kicked in. Dream on. The loonie-toons crowd isn't all that fond of right wing bible thumpers either.
