T3 mirror jammed

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Konica 35mm SLRs : One Thread

I have a Konica T3; the mirror recently jammed while taking a picture, in the up position. (1) any ideas on a do-it-yourself fix? (a dealer said can't be fixed because parts are unavailable). or... (2) what Konica bodies will work with the lenses (50mm F1.4 Hexanon AR, and a 135mm AR). Thanks... Ron Rosen

T3 Mirror jammed

My solution might be too simplistic for your problem, but my T-3 mirror jammed last week after I had rewound film. The rewind button did not "pop" out as it should have. Not knowing what else to do, I moved the depth of field lever a few times and to my relief the mirror returned to it's correct position. It might not work for you, but I was pleased to see that my T-3 was operational once more.

SpareParts

Dear Ron I would guess that we are here dealing with a bit of lazyness on the part of your repair service. There is no general shortage of Autoreflex bodies to be taken apart for parts. Try another shop first. If unsuccesful I will give you a T3 which has a worn out film forward mechanism and a meeter which does not work. Nothing wrong with the mirror, shutter and related parts. You pay shipping, that's all.

Ron: Your lenses will work with all Konica SLR bodies except the ones from the early 60's. You can use TC, TC-X, Autoreflex T, T3, T4, FS-1, FT-1, FC-1, and FP (late)
