National Air Traffic Services, London, UK, 6 August 1999

The National Air Traffic Services (NATS) is to switch off its computer systems this weekend and revert to pen and paper during a year 2000 upgrade, according the Express newspaper. The upgrade comes months after NATS declared itself ready for the millennium. NATS admits that the computer systems will be switched but claims it is for normal maintenance work.

[NATS is assessed as being 100% Blue by the Government's National Infrastructure Forum]
