JUST a note from the SYSOP!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Folks, as Mrs. Driver has suggested (as subtly as she is going to (meaning she did NOT use a 2 X 4, just her remarkably garnet-paper tongue)), my time committment to this board being about 4-5 hours, my time committment to work being in the 10-14 hour range, there isn't alot of time left for things like housework, dishes, cleaning up after myself, fixing the WC, etc...

I can't understand the housework problem, I've got a clean chair in front of the computer, and there is a clearly marked trail to the stairs, and the kitchen. She wants to sit down, there is a bed in the bedroom, and my computer chair when I ain't here. She seems to want to re-discover the couch and the stove or some such.

In the interests of her NOT giving me another shooting lesson, I need to trim things back a bit here (down to 4 hours would work). The BEST way for us to do that is for those folks who want something deleted, or whatever, to use the SYSOP address at the bottom of the top level page or to e-mail me at rienzoo@en.com. Thisa is because I'm trying now to read every thread at least once, and that is a fairly dauntuing task (you prolific b*g*ers, don't stop). My e-mail gets slightly faster results as I check it when I get home and if I'm home I hear the drum roll and see who wants me......

Since I expect that this little missive will scroll into obscurity fairly quickly, here is how to remember my e-mail address:

1) you can add an 'o' to my last name and then add '@en.com'.

2) you can break it down:

"rien" = "nothing"; "zoo" = what my house sometimes is mistaken for;

@ = well that part is a no brainer; en as in 'echo november' or 'enough news' or....; .com = another no brainer

Chuck Who still appears to be taking things WAY too lightly (just charlie's opinion)

Chuck, Thanks for all your efforts. I can hear your wife thinking all the way in NYC.

Chuck,

If I see things when I "quick check" each morning, I'll help deal with it too. Feeling much more Y2K-relaxed now.
