I'll be discussing Y2K on the radio next week

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I'm going to be a guest on Bill Brumbaugh's talk radio show on August 19th from 11 PM to 1 AM Eastern time. We're going to talk about Y2K, particularly communications and sustainable infrastructure issues. You can listen to the show live on the Internet.

I believe the host lives in Michigan, but I'll be doing it over the telephone. Or have I misunderstood your question?

I travel alot and try to keep up on radio stations to listen to. I have a laptop but can't always get to it..especially when driving!:> Computers and driving don't mix well!:> Time? station?

Unfortunately, I don't have the information as to whether it is being broadcast on "normal" radio stations. It is being broadcast on shortwave at 11.950 Mz, but I doubt that will help you. I'll try to find out if it is on any AM or FM stations, and post the information here.

No doubt, some obscure white-wing station that caters to the poison contrail, Black Helicopter, UN conspiracy crowd. Sound familiar?

No, Pro, it won't be that kind of a station - too bad, you would like this guy.

Steve, as for your announcement, I think you may not find many at this Forum who care.

Dinty and other regulars, go 22 threads down to "Anyone heard of/listened to Y2K tape by Steve Hewitt?" You'll find out all you want to know, in spades.

Scat,

I think you have confused Steve Heller with Steve Hewitt. These two Steves are like night and day.

I have a little bit of trouble figuring out exactly what Steve Hewitt has to do with my upcoming radio show appearance. Apparently he thinks Y2K is nothing, but neither Bill Brumbaugh nor I have that opinion.

Thank you Steve. I have SW and plan to listen.

Quietly....

Wake up people. To hear the program, click on the blue thingy "Live on the Internet" in the very first post on this thread at 11 PM on Thursday, August 19 and you can hear it. What happens when someone asks a complicated question? Thanks Steve for posting this advance notice. All you HAM radio operators out there, listen as Steve is one.

Hi Moe, Read my post...I may not be able to get to the internet. That was why I was asking abt a station.
