Does anyone have firsthand experience owning a Canon Powershot A50? I am considering purchasing one and would appreciate feedback on image quality

I ended up purchasing the Canon A50 about a month ago after spending hours looking at all the reviews for everything else. So far I'm pleased with my decision. Sometimes I read the posts about the 2 megapixel cameras and wonder.... then remind myself that the A50 was about half the price.

I'm not a photographer, and haven't found enough time yet to really focus (ha!) in on learning the features and how to make the camera respond best to different situations, but I have been pleased with the pictures I've taken so far.

I really like the portability of the camera; I have it with me all the time, which wasn't the case with my previous camera -- Kodak DC 120. The menus and features seem logical to me and easy to use.

I posted some random shots I took the in the first week or two. You can get an idea of color, light, etc. But don't judge the sharpness/bluriness of these shots -- I haven't learned to hold the camera still. I also have an A50 and am very happy with it. I've found the image quality to be good and have made excellent 5x7 prints and even 8x10 (using their non-compressed ccdraw mode)on my HP Photosmart printer. I have some vacation pictures posted on club photo if you'd like to see actual results. The 28mm wide angle range on the zoom really comes in handy for many of the photos I take.
