Winery Site Functionality

POST COMMENTS AND INFO ABOUT PRODUCTS IN DB FORMAT This is where the winery can put in tasting notes, harvest info, etc. Winery should be able to have multiple players, winemaker, owner, sales, and the player should define themselves when signing. We may want to include some mechanism (does philip have this?), where the winery can scan a photo of their label and put it up on the organizer, attaching it to the wine db. EVENTS Post comments about events that are dated. Comment should disappear once the date passes. CLOSED B TO B FORUM Secure entry for members of the winery's b-b community. Again, winery should be able to post comments about products, with or without pricing. There should be multiple levels to the closed forum. One for distributors, one for retailers, one for restaurants, one for winery personnel. Reason for this is winery will not want to post pricing info to all constituencies, while they will want to post product info. I'm not sure how sensitive wineries will be to posting their prices, in general, but it's worth a shot. EXPERT FORUM Winery must pay for this service. Access to Expert Forum Message Board. Comments are published on general community message board. SOMMELIER FORUM Winery must pay for this service. Access to Sommelier Forum. Winery can send out new releases to sommeliers, alerting them to taste products from their local wholesalers. (this alert will be sent out on the B-B forum). Should be queued when Sommelier's request information about their wines or about categories of wines (by varietal or appellation or style) GENERAL MESSAGE BOARD ALERTS Winery should be able to define general message board alerts. I.e. alert us whenever a message is posted about our products. RECOMMENDATION ALERTS Make recommendations to consumers who have purchased their wines, when consumers request such recommendations;

Winery should define markets in which it wants to function as a wholesaler and markets in which it wants to function as a store. If a store, winery should create retailer functionality. If a winery, functionality should not contain general community pricing.

PRODUCTS DEFINED ARE PRODUCER'S CATALOG Catalog can include prices in a closed forum fashion...defined by constituency. In response to the previous posting, the winery could define its constituency as follows: Wholesaler, retailer, restaurant, direct sell consumer. This would be a great way to get the winery to include its direct sell mailing list on the site, selling directly where legal, using the same functionality as the b to b piece! This is of great use to the winery and worth lots!
