Ed Yourdon, was that you on the phone?greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
Mr. Yourdon,CNN Late Edition took a phone call from a person in Taos, NM, for John Koskinen on the show today. The caller, who was not identified, was questioning Mr. Koskinen's position that the federal government was 95% ready for the Y2k transition. It sounded like you on the phone sir. Is this correct?

I can't speak for Ed, of course. He already knows the answer to that question. It would be unlike to him to ask it. I could be wrong, and it wasn't a bad question to ask.

Charlie,Nope, it wasn't me. There are lots of Y2K-aware people here in Taos, and I can imagine one or two most likely candidates that it might have been. As Dog Gone suggested on this thread, it's not the kind of question I would have asked him over the phone -- I've got his email address, and (more importantly), I've got a pretty good idea of what kind of response he's likely to give to all of the "usual" questions.

Thanks, Mr. Yourdon. I thought it would have been kind of odd, but worth checking out, none the less.
