Can anyone tell me if there are any schools in the U.S. with departments that are doing any work currently on sexual or physical abuse in sports? It doesn't matter if it's a sports department or psychology department...Ellen Edgerton http://www.silent-edge.org

I don't know of any. I have specialized training in family violence (including physical and sexual abuse) and I am a sports consultant but I don't know of any programs that would really be doing both. Studies of incident rates are inconsistent and intervention is pretty much none existent (with the exception of prevention). If you find anything new out let me know.Mitch Abrams, Psy.D.
