I need help . . . Omega D2 Enlarger

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Printing & Finishing : One Thread

I have a Simmon-Omega D2 Enlarger. It came with a TON of accessories, some of which I do not know what they're used for. I have about 8 carriers. The obvious ones I know -- 35mm and 2-1/4. The openings on the others are: 3-5/8 x 4 5/8, 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 and 2-1/8 by 2-5/8. On the box of the last one, it says "Size: Omega 120". Can anyone tell me what formats these are for?

I am also wondering if there is a book written that tells about the D2 and it's accessories -- so I can figure out what the rest of these things are!

If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. Please email me. Thanks.

All the numbers you quote are negative format sizes, you should be able to find instruction book for the D2, check the Shutterbug and Ebay. You have a very good enlarger, the only thing I did to change mine was to install a Zone VI cold head. Pat

Oh yeah, the sizes are for 120 film size. Pat

The first one seems to be for 4X5 film. The rest would seem to be for 120 film (I would guess 6X9 and 6X7). You can check www.craigcamera for manuals etc. DJ

The 3 5/8 x 4 5/8 should hold Polaroid negatives from Type 665 pack film. It ought to take 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 sheetfilm negs with a bit of the clear edge showing too.
