TVW (Viacom Seattle) in Washington State has carried The U.S. House subcommittee discuss Y2K computer issues at the state leval.

The station has been showing the meeting and you can by a tape of it.

It is a very strait forward discussion. You should see the representitive from Microsoft squirm when asked how they had helped alert the public (and schools) about the Y2K problem.(They didn't and still haven't bothered to help their employee's schools) remediate the problem). The speakers are quite candid when asked what they wish HAD been done. Most said they wished this or that had been done sooner. Some have problems with suppliers. This is a good show for any area. By the way, Microsoft will me snail-mailing a pamplet to EVERY regestered owner of their software. That means if you regestered your Win95 (or above) 3 years ago you will get one soon.

Boeing discusses their efforts with countries around the world.

Sen.Horn was at this meeting.

Boeing "demanded" that all GPS recievers associated with their industry be made compliant by venders. (They obviously were)
