how come no one ever posts in my forums?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Chrissy : One Thread

Do you not love me?

Am I that boring?

Am I losing my readers by the minute?

Do you guys just not care?

This excludes Lara, of course.

I would submit for your approval the suggestion that you provide a more permanent discussion area, instead of one (or more) that changes every single day. Even just placing the links to your discussions on your front page may influence traffic through them. I go to the month, pick the day that I want to read, and then I never ever return to that page where the forum's link is. Even if I enter something in it. h.a.n.d.

That's a good question. It's probably akin to "why don't you all sign my guestbook?" Once I figure that one out, I'll let you know.:)

Mazinga-

So, maybe I should post something bi-weekly or monthly? Hm, that maybe rather tough. I mean, sure, I can come up with something to ask everyday, but something that could keep up discussion for a full week or a month? Hm. That would take some work and I'm not sure if enough people would post anyway. Who knows. It's worth a try though, I suppose. I'll figure something out.

Murphy-

Yeah, you're right, it is kinda like that, but different. Here I actually give you something different to participate in everday, not just the same ole form to fill out about yourself, where you're from, that kind of stuff. I want people to talk to me, no matter how boring or stupid their answers may be. Other people's opinions and thoughts are cool to read. I really enjoy it, no matter how little of it they may post.

perhaps, on your front page, you could place a link to your question of the day. the idea is to make traffic flow easily to where you want it to go. also, you should note that not everyone may have an opinion on your question. sometimes they just don't seem to be topics that effect everyone's lives...just yours.

Well,

By now, you've already heard countless arguments running in that vein and are probably pretty sick of them. The theme of this letter is "This was warned by his own vicegerents not to fan the flames of deconstructionism into a planet-spanning inferno." It is worth noting at the outset that we must continue to monitor the grunts and expose them as the slovenly disorganized knee-biters they are. Judging by the generally blathering nature of the cringers, I can see that when workable solutions to a problem elude you, sometimes it helps to stand as a witness in the divine court of the eternal judge and proclaim that his secret agents can conceive of nothing but stolid defenses of his laughable domineering sermons. Sorry for babbling so much, but This Forum formulates writings in a precarious latticework between the abominable and the nerdy.

Other than that is seems real cool...

What is the purpose of this chat board? To entertain Chrissy? I recommend pen pals instead of a broad shout to the general public. "I'm Chrissy and I need lots of attention - will the general public please notice me and pay attention?"

Is that what this board is all about?
