I am the task leader for the FIRM Council, Electronic Records Workgroup, Standards Committee for a task you may be able to help with. I am working with Sherri Rardon, USDA.

Our objective is to create a Standard Set of Data Elements and a Standard Form, similar to the SF115, specifically for scheduling electronic information systems. The purpose of this task is to facilitate agencies' scheduling processes and NARA's appraisal processes. Less labor and faster approvals are our goals.

Here's how you can help right now. 1. Send me (info below) copies of NARA-approved SF115s that describe and schedule Federal, program-specific Electronic Information Systems.

2. Send me a description of changes or requests for additional information requested by NARA during their appraisal process.

3. Let me know if you wish to become an "active member" of this task team or a "corresponding member." "Active membership" would mean joining the Electronic Records Standards Committee and attending monthly meetings. As a "corresponding member," you will be asked to review and comment on draft materials from time to time.
