Value of Civil War sword

I have a field officer's Civil War sword and scabbard. Sword is inscribed, "Capt. G. B. Bailey, 1st Ohio Vols." Research has proven that Capt. G. B. Bailey was George Bartlett Bailey, boyhood friend and neighbor of Ulysses S. Grant in Georgetown, OH. Due to Bailey's failure in his first semester at West Point, his spot was obtained for Ulysses by his father, Jesse Grant. This incident is recounted in several Grant biographies. Bailey was killed in a skirmish at Guyandotte, VA (now W.VA) on Nov. 10, 1861. Condition of sword is good, but a 3" piece of the scabbard is missing. Would like to know approximate value of this sword.
