Is there a negative film scanner that can scan film types other than 35mm, specifically 120, or 2 1/4, film?

The Minolta Dimage Multi scans medium format in addition to 35mm film. There is a review of it here that you may want to check out. The bad part is it sells for over $2,000. I can't give you any firsthand accounts of this product but if you see any by all means pass them along because it's got my interest. :-)

I have an ACER AcerScan 620PT which will scan negatives up to 5x7 and prints to 8.5 x 11. I have been using it mainly for 2.25 x 3.25 b/w negatives and have gotten results comparable to my HP PhotoSmart scanner, which I use for 35mm. This using 600 dpi (max optical) on the Acer and 2400 on the HP.

Check out the new Epson Photo-perfection 1200 scanner. It's a flatbed with built-in tranny lid, and claims an optical resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi. It will scan up to 5"x7" trannies or negs, or A4 reflective. I have had a "hands on" demo of this, and it appears to give excellent results. One drawback, it is USB and only Win98 drivers are supplied for it. (Will probably work with OSR2.1 Win95 though) There is certainly nothing else to touch it in it's price range (#230 in the UK, about $360 US) As I said, this is a first impression based on a quick shop demo, but it's certainly worth consideration. Good Luck!
