Gore is showing signs of being a GI

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

If I were a GI and candidate for President, I would: 1.) Relocate my campaign headquarters out of Washington DC at any cost, as soon as possible. 2.) Risk a short-term heckling by the media by not keeping ANY money in the bank, but stuff it all secretly under the mattress for post bank-run campaigning. Are we missing something here? Is W at risk by having his $50M+ in the bank? Could Nashville become the capitol of both country music and our country? Does Gore actually know something is about to unwind in an awful way. Moving from K-Street to K-Rations? Am I thinking too much?

It's too late for Gore the Bore. He should have spoken out three years ago when he could have made a difference. This clueless asswipe should go down with the rest of us.

Great analysis. You may have something here. His future actions are worth watching in this regard.

I agree with Mr. Adequate. Gore lost his leadership chance three years ago when POSSIBLY things could have been at least better managed. People will remember him as claiming to have invented the internet and for having sacrificed the American people wellbeing to big business and banking interests by his lack of leadership on Y2K.

I voted for Clinton and regret it. I will never vote for Gore. And I think there are many out there that might not either; enough to loose an election, if we have one at all.

Prince Albert Gore,

Who knows he's a bore,

Has planned for much more

To settle the score.

His new relocation,

*procrastination*,

Has mandated ration

For quick contemplation.

But now it's too late;

George W. won't wait;

Bill Bradley feels great;

Al Gore will deflate!

Or could it be that Al Gores home state is TN? Common sense would dictate that as most people who run for office establish their home office in the state they call home. And Gore still resides in the DC region. Sorry to bust that conspiracy theory bubble.

Either way it doesn't matter because the great gov of Texas, George Bush will be calling 1600 PA Ave home before Gore does. I would throw my support ahead of Bush though for Gov. Venutura.

I've read about several different psychic predictions that say Omaha is going to be the new capitol city. :)

How's this for a "wild-a**ed"prediction: The SHTF in 2000 - and the Repubs draft Colin Powell and Eliz Dole(of Red Cross fame) for their candidates. Personally, I believe that Someone, Somewhere will hit the media with tons of dirt on George W...it's all a matter of time. Who knows???

If ANYONE has that tape allegedly of the Shrub brothers at the Cocaine sting, you can be sure it WILL surface after Dubya is nominated.

This is the one year that a third party has a real chance...'cause if Y2K hits REALLY hard, there might be enough anger to hand the White House (but not the Congress) to that third party. Voter turnout is now so low, that, say another 30% cannot be ruled out to register and vote. Add that to dissaffected traditional socially conservative Democrats and bolt - the - party Republicans, and the volitility could be overwhelming.

That is one reason that Martial Law cannot be ruled out.

Well, since this thread has become a campaign chat - please learn about John McCain - www.mccain2000.com

He is a good guy, read his bio and position statements and check out as much as you can for yourselves.

I recently volunteered for his campaign (first time ever) and am very pleased that every person I hand information to about him seem very interested or already know about and like him. Please take the time to learn about him and consider voting for him in the primary (you do have to make sure you are registered Republican to help him become the nominee over Bush - you can always re-register differently later if desired). Please e me if I can answer any questions.

al gore is a swamp rat that won't even qualify for warhol's 15 minutes of fame equation. an egg-salad sandwich would make a more fitting candidate than our distinguished veep. if it isn't eventually proven that al is an actual manchurian candidate, with an off stage puppet master pulling his strings, then i will eat my tin-foiled reception augmentation, sonar

Damn, I really like you corrine. Of course I like egg salad as well and am not very happy to have it compared to the likes of Gore. Gore a GI? BWAAAAAHAHAHA. His buddy referred to preparers as:

"cowering in churches waiting for the world to end.....determined to buy desert land and hoard gold, bullets and Skoal in their pickup trucks."

Dumb and Dumber. Slither and sloth.
