butter churn

Received a catalog of stuff in which I had no interest and was idly thumbing through it when I came across that Power Washer thing that looks like a small tub with a sealed lid and which is rotated end over end by means of a hand crank. I have never seen one of these things except in the catalog picture and I don't Know if it really washes clothes but it sure looks as if it would churn butter. Does anyone have one that they could try using as a churn or comment on the feasability?

Lumber Jack,

in the Lehman's catalog, they have one and suggest not only to wash clothes ,but to use as a butter churn.I have one and intend to us it for washing small loads of clothes.I purchased some small plastic balls with stuff inside to use instead of soap. They don't require the rinsing process.

I bought one, but hate it for clothes. Gonna give this a shot!

meme, Please let me know how it turns out. I can't see why it wouldn't work.

We purchased the same washer you describe with same conclusions: virtually worthless for what they were desgined but great for churning butter!
