We got a couple o' five legged deer running around the atomic reservation. They're a 'hot' item come hunting season. I chased one for dickity six miles one day to ask it if it were related to stumpy. You see we have to say 'dickity' because the Kaiser stole the word 'twenty' in nineteen dickity-seven. So I finally catch up to this five legged deer. You can imagine how fast you could run with a spare leg to use when you get tired, and asked its name. He said, "I know my name, do you know yours?" He bent down to nibble on some 'contaminated' tumbleweeds then galloped over the hill, and I never saw him again.

Why does everybody want to kill Stumpy??? I thought we were supposed to take only pictures and leave only footprints. What is this. I think you guys are selling us out. All summer long I wanted to take out the normal deer with my bow during archery time with my boys. Now someone is saying that stumpy is up for grabs? Hold on a sec... I will be right there!!!! Hey! Stumpy is on vacation for the winter in Hawaii. He'll be back in the Spring once it's not so cold and it's stopped snowing. Leave him be! Stumyp is the coolest, and he is always watching us to make sure that we're all safe. Rock on Stumpy!

Hey, during summer camp this year my fellow leaders and I were doing a challenge course and we saw a bunch of deer. We also saw them going up to our cabin site and we think we saw Stumpy. LEAVE HIM ALONE ZEMKE! He's to cool!

Stumpy spotting: Elementary School retreats at Shoshone Base Camp. After hanging around Lutherhaven over the years, looks like he's moved a little to the north. I told the kids not to throw rocks at him.

Hey man, stumpy is mine!!! I will have a lot of time this summer to track him down. Mainly I just want to track him down so I can get to know him. You know, build up his confidence in me so I can bruatally betray him. I guess thats the best way to get the social deer. Serously though, I would never think of hurting Stumpy... ever. I promise.

I can't believe I didn't put up my Stumpy sighting! I went to Shoshone with my 5th and 6th graders in March - and we saw Stumpy! The kids loved him - I think he thought we were pretty cool too. :)

Anyhoo, rock on ya'll! I can't wait to see ya this summer.
