Web Site Requirements

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Latin American E-Comm Summit : One Thread

Should the conference Web site include information in English, Spanish, and Portugese or can we get by with only English? Do we need any other languages or multiple versions of Spanish (Mexican and South American, for example)?

Good question. My sense is that since our target audience is predominately English speaking, I don't believe we need to be multi-lingual in 1999. For our next iteration in 2000 we can consider changing the targeting format towards our Latin American neighbors, and in that case we should have both Spanish and Portuguese options.
