Where's the recent thread that had the Dow Jones applet?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Friday there was a thread entitled "Dow Jones is dropping like a rock," and someone named Market Watcher put an applet on it that updated what the market was doing when you hit the refresh button. It was a great utility and I referred to it several times. Now I can't find it anywhere. Can someone put the applet here for us? Or tell us where else we can find it?

I was using that also and can't find it again. Do people delete things off this forum?

No, it's just that there are so many threads, news/anxiety heating up.

The sysops here delete all the time. It makes them feel powerful.

No - ten billion people add thousands of new threads every 6 minutes 8<) - and we tend "loose" the particular one we want to read in the crush of other information .... it's a polly thing to screw with our minds.

BUT - now that we have a "title of the missing thread, " we can Ctrl+F (search current page fo rthe text) to "find it" again.

Pearlie--Click onto "Recent Answers," you'll find the thread about 5 threads down. The Thread is called "Dow Dropping Like a Rock," October 15, 1999. I think it's what you are looking for.
