An estimated 3.3 million small businesses, especially retailers, have ignored Y2K issues. With regard to individual PC owners and their attention to Y2K remediation, I haven't seen any official or even unofficial reports, but if I were to make an educated guess, I would say at least half have their 'heads in the sand, ostrich-style'.

Perhaps the reason is not ignorance, but rather one of "I don't know how" which is why I have written this guide. Although intended pimarily for small business owners, individual PC owners as well as some larger businesses will also find it extremely helpful.
