Well, I remember a costume, but it wasn't mine. My best friend (then) and I were in 4th grade, and we decided to hit just one more street. It was getting late, and we were supposed to be home, but we wanted more loot. There was this house at the end of the next block. It was dark -- no porch light. The front door was ajar, but the screen door was closed. There was a pile of laundry on the floor just inside the screen. We timidly tapped on the screen door, and with quivering voices, said "trick or treat?" The laundry stood up and said, "who's doing the tricks around here?" Deliciously scary! He gave us a bunch of candy and sent us home! Sadly, nowadays, the laundry would probably be a person of ill repute and poor intentions.
