Does anyone have a pattern for or remember how to make the doll made from milk filter/strainers? She was generally used for decorating a bed...

My grandmother and aunt use to make these! I do not have a pattern but I can remember how they looked. The filters were folded in half and tied with yarn at the top and bottom to the next filter. I think the dress was three or more layers high. I wish I could find the pattern but I don't think they ever had one. Where do you find the milk filters? I remember them being in all colors.
