WHO is a Flexible lender to the self-employedgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread |
I'm self-employed software author and get paid, like a book-author for work completed then royslties on sales. I don't have an income as such and no 'wage slips' I get paid lump sums like #6K. Also am a part-time vet. surgeon for which get paid cash-in-hand which may not appear in bank a/c. I've been told by several lnders that 'casual income cannot be counted. I have a property worth a conservative 60K with a 35K mortgage. I want to release 10K via re-mortgage , but seem to come up against a brick wall when I can't proove income. I have no arrears or bad credit. I've been paying Bank of Ireland for 10++ years. What is my best option, please

Robert, Have you looked into the Virgin One account, very flexible, and you should be able to get up to 80% of your property value without too much trouble. If you're at or below 75/80% of the property value you should be able to get a non-status mortgage, the Bank of Scotland has one that springs to mind. Good Luck.

Hi Robert, I went through a company called Woodland Financial Services Tel: 01372 275000. I'm afraid I don't know their email address, but they arranged a mortgage for us and were so good that we passed all our insurance policies etc to them, and they have been brilliant. Have passed a couple of friends to them as well who have been treated in the same way (I don't get commissions in case you're wondering) I just believe if a company treats it's clients well they deserved to be recommended to others. Tell them we sent you.By the way my son is at Dick Vet in Edinburgh as well.
