PhD programs in Instructional design (distance learning)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Distance Education : One Thread

Hello, I'm in the process of evaluating a distance learning program at Capella University, it appears that they are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, but I'm still not sure, could you share some light on this.

p.s.

Could you also inform me on other institutions that offer on-line learning ( Phd in distance learning).

Thank you

Ray

Ray, If you go to their site you'll find a place for alumni discussion and also people who have or are taking courses w/ Capella. They will all get back to you. I emailed a number of people and everyone - even the Vice President emailed me back (actually he emailed me a number of times to answer my questions). I am interested in Capella as well but... It costs about $35,000 or more for you degree depending on how long it takes you to complete it. Kinda steep. But anyway, they have student loans available. Everyone who emailed me was very, very happy with the service and product they received from Capella, although I sensed there was still lots of headway needed for name recognition. Hope that helps, Jo
