I was THERE!. It was amazing. That was the slow pass, then he did it again wheels up, flaps up, 660 knots. Then a 727 did the same thing. Then a LearJet at 50 feet, wide open.

Northwest Airlines donated the plane time and the fuel, the pilots donated their time. That's back when NWA was a real airline, not a leveraged money machine for the idle rich. I was working for them, earning money for college.
