In 1957 there was a hearing of some kind that removed me from my father's custody, and placed me in a group home called Summerhill in Montreal, Quebec. I am in therapy and trying to fill in a blank for the years 1954 to 1958.

I need to know what happened, why I was removed. I have vague recollections of police, and a man behind a desk (judge?)

How do I get a copy of my file?? Thia happened when I was 9, I am now 56 and trying to get my life in order.

I live in the US so I am not sure how the system works there...but I found my sister by going through a public records search. I had to pay....but we found out where she was...you might try the United State public records. I also thought that even though the "moderator" thought this was uninteresting...that its important to you, so why would a website that claims to be helping people want to make you feel like it wasn't important??
