The frigde exploded? You -will- have to expand on that someday.

I remember the vegetable gardens mum used to have around the back and the millions of vegies and fruits we grew every year. Yummy.

The few moments that I recall from my childhood, are mostly about the rivers and the streams. I would be all alone with the rushing water, listening to it, playing with it, forgetting all else.

i have been treading the paths in memory land and have written several essays about life as i knew it in my neighborhood in the age of growing up. from about 1927 to 1943. there is a columnist in our town who is about my age and also is a native of this town. the things i don 't remember and didn't know about were things that his articles filled in for me. truly it was a different time and not a time to over glorify, illnesses and injuries were often fatal in a long drawn out, painful demise. those were the days when one went to the hospital, people weren't surprised if you didn't return. then there was the depression and dust bowl days. but in between the bad things we kids had a heck of a good time. what makes me nostalgic ? what is nostalgia ? it is reliving past experiences and events in a fond album of beloved family and friends.
