This image conjures up memories of hikes in the wet woods on either side of the Willamette Valley. There was a movement to make these guys the state mollusk a while back; it failed for some strange reason... My only criticism is that the zone of sharp focus appears to extend quite a bit closer than the slug, possibly far enough that its tail end could have been sharp without losing the more important head.

Ilkka, I like the idea of this photo, but I must agree that there is not enough depth of field in the slug. I wouuld also crop out some of the out-of-focus foreground and background. Infact a little tighter of a shot may have worked better here. This picture says you have a good eye. Please keep posting! Donna

Nice lighting and good composition, but the slug needs to be in focus from back to front. Not a prize winner but an excellent attempt nonetheless. As Donna said, keep shooting and keep posting.
