Two questions...

Does anyone have information about a pitcher pump, the kind you use inside a kitchen?

Does anyone have information or a source to buy an Alaskan mill?

Pitcher pumps have the pumping cyllinder built into them so they can only pump water about 20 to 25 feet- the limit that water can be "sucked" up a pipe. So they are only useful for shallow wells or for pumping water from a cistern (the common reason for them to be in a kitchen in my experience.) Since the cylinder is in the pump, it can be used to pump water from a source that isn't directly under it- for example, from a cistern under another part of the house, or a pump in the kitchen can pump from a shallow well in the yard, as long as it is a very shallow well. Hope this helps.
