installing Quicktime

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to install Quicktime on my MacIntosh and I keep getting the message "An error occurred while trying to download the file "VISEData" the download has been aborted, try again later. Any suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated.:)

Renee, where are you trying to download QuickTime from? Make sure you are going to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/ and then to the left side of the page where it says download quicktime. Select Macintosh insert your email address and you should be able to download the program. Save it to your desktop and then you will have to double click on the installer on your desktop. Make sure you are online and then it will ask you some questions and you can download the rest of the Quicktime that you need. Let me know at what step in this process you are having a

Wow!... I am sorry this is happening... I have seen this happen before at night between 7PM and 10PM because of heavy traffic on the Internet. So you might want to try this in the morning or another time when Internet traffic is not so high. Also, make sure you have at least 10MB of space on your hard drive before you try to download this file. If you double click on your hard drive then the window that pops open shows you the available space you have on the top. This is for Macintosh users.

If you are a Windows user you need to double click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and then click once on the C drive and in the bottom right of the window it will tell you how much space you have a

Hello all,

I have been receiving the same error as Renee. Ive downloaded it from the apple website for the link, I've tried several times on an iMac and no luck whatso ever?? Anyone have any suggestions?
