This is only the second post I have put up but have been coming here for about a year. So it is about time to think all of you be for it is to late. I agree there might be 30 to 60 days of food in the supply chain, but that is if people don't panic. Then what after that is gone? I have been preparing for a year and a half and think we have it to gather now. What if we are wrong? Well we have talked about that lots of times. We will save a fortune on grocice next year. We will have a hunting and fishing cabin (shack could not afford something nice but it works). There was no way I could pay off the house so refinanced and got the cabin. Because if it is even a little bad we will probably lose are house. My wife works for Sentior Disabled Services probably no check there. (Gov. thing you know) I am an AutoCAD Designer (draw blue-prints) no construction no job. It dose not have to be real bad for us to be SCREWED. All of are family thinks we went off the deep end. Au heck they think were nuts. We think we took the best approach we could. Hope where right. If not all the butter for us. Would like to thank you for all the support you have given us. Even though you did not know it people like you all may have saved are life and where thankful fore it. WE ARE PEARD TO BE WORNG IT WOULD NOT BE THE FIRST TIME. WE THANK YOU ALL !!

All are love to you all Joe, Eva and son Dan.

Stinky, Best of luck. We hope for a zero but we're prepared if it's not.

Guess what, Stinker .....

Yesterday I made my last major outlay and paid off the JOTUL fancy Firelight stove I had on layaway, picked it up, and drove it out to the house for instalation. With that purchase complete, I suddenly realized I AM DONE with preps with small exceptions. A very contented and even happy feeling came over me as I walked down to the library here to check in on the forum, realizing I could drop off now at any time, or that disaster could strike sooner rather than later, and I'll have no trouble keeping the family warm, washed and well-fed. And for a long whle too .....

The sacrifices to get here were extraordinary. It's like watching a horse-race, where your life may hang in the balance of your wager. Phew! And like you say, it won't be the frist time I've been wrong, but that doesn;t change my judgment or make me second-guess my decisions. It had to be done. The threat is to heavythis time!

Best wishes to your family.

Don't forget to look at the preps forum before you go, Stinky. Some last-minute tips there. Pop in from time to time, won't you?
