Mike Adams, publisher of the self proclaimed "No. 1 site" on Y2k, has announced he is removing himself from the Y2k discussion for the rest of the year.

He probably got a better offer from newsmax.com, which is where his articles have been appearing lately.

I just read his reasons. I guess as far as Y2K news covering itself is concerned, that's a 10.

---he's working on a much bigger internet project, and he's about said what needs to be said about y2k at this point. as far as i am aware-I am not he-I believe he feels y2k will be more economic in nature, with a smattering of actual infrastructure failures, that is, some accidents, some severe disruptions, some of this, some of that, but the long term ramifications will be more economic. business darwinism, i guess. this is my understanding, he may comment on his own, of course, and he has, actually...............

Mike is a classy guy. He believes strongly in the economic problems that Y2k will cause the world and the lack of attention to preparing the public by our elected leaders and the media. He works vendors down on their prices and then publishes the information on who to go to for the lowest prices.

He's helped a lot of people who have gone to his website for information. Good luck to you Mike, you've got my respect.

Everyone such as himself should leave Dodge and let the Feds handle the people in this end game without interference. We may not agree with how the Feds have handled it all, but it is too deep, and it is too late now, and best to let the Feds tighten its grip on the minds of the people. It has to control the people as the shortages in food come to say the least. Keeping them from panic and/or preparing may be its form of "rationing" the food during this time period. Most everyone unprepared is having a little bit of it all while it lasts.

Paula,

The bottom line on all of this is that Bill Clinton lied. Everything after that has been suspect. Just about everything.

Not just about everything. Everything is suspect. If he says the sky is blue, I'm looking out the window!

Just read the article and have to say that I agree with his reasoning. I've done the same thing regarding my own Y2K observations and warnings. All that needs to be said has pretty much been said, the sensible amongst us have prepared, the oblivious and the wishful have not, and the only thing that could exacerbate what potentially could be at least a semi-cataclysmic event would be a last minite run on the banks by "the masses". And as far as Clinton is concerned the time for him to warm the public up to this issue was about 3 years ago. He had other things on his filthy little mind, I'm sure. For him to have gone on television anytime in the past 6 months and inform Americans that we all need to prepare for the potential collapse of the infrastructure would probably not be advisable, to say the least. Yes he is a liar and he revolts me utterly, but there is little that he can do now.
