News Advisory:

Hundreds of members of the Washington Teachers Union (WTU) will hold a rally on Tuesday to protest the inexcusable deficiencies of the Computerized Administrative Personnel Payroll System (CAPPS). Since its inception, thousands of District teachers have been paid incorrectly or not at all. Many have received supplemental paychecks with incorrect tax information, there have been gross miscalculations in annual salaries, and many teachers who work in extracurricular programs are not receiving due compensation, among other problems.
