Elephant, Namibia. This is maybe the most exciting wildlife experience of my life but also the most frustrating photo experience. I was standing under a tree just a few meters from the elephant and he was feeding on the leaves just above my head for quite a long time. It was way to dark to take pictures but as soon as there was some light in the east he turned and walked away. I could only take a few shots and this is the best. Canon EOS 1N, 28-135 zoom and exposure, no idea. I was completely focused on the elephant, maybe 1/15s. Hakan

While I have never been a fan of "motion blur" type photography, this one really appeals to me. The blur behind the ear conveys a strong sense of movement and in combination with the tight framing, makes this a very unique image.

Hakan, I like this photo as well. Not only because of the motion blue, but the mysterious aura about it. It would work well to illustrate the plight of the Elephant. Donna
