That's why threads and stories like these are revelant. We, as civilians, look at the track record of big business and big government. They are proven liars. Over and over and over again. Big government has no compunction about lying to their own employees-the armed forces. How many live soldiers and airmen were left to rot in prison camps in several "wars" now? Or is that an illusion, too? Sorry, just because one is not in the armed forces doesn't mean that they cannot have concerns and differences. No one has a macho lock on Patriotism, or intelligence, or even credibility, for that matter. Just because they are currently in the armed forces or have retired from same doesnot mean that you have some sort of superior lock on what should be discussed or not, as it relates to what many percieve to be credible threats. Did you (any chemtrail DGI) READ the astonishment in their voices as typed when the folks who are recent witnesses to the CHEMTRAILS as opposed to the CONTRAILS? This is very insulting, taking people to task for reporting what they have witnessed, and are sincere about. It's a direct verbal aggressive challenge, exactly the same as disruptive polly y2k posts and it's uncalled for and rude and simply wrong. Not ALL members of ALL governmental agencies or large corporations are "bad" people. BUT, bad things sure do seem to happen, don't they? Well, don't they? How many events in the past where the government has been exposed as being harmful to people does there have to be a record of before anyone who brings up what might be a current "bad thing" isn't ridiculed out of hand? Is it somehow wrong to be able to learn from history? Are we supposed to take the WORD of proven liars? Some may choose to, I do not. And quite a few readers and posters here DO NOT, either.

A big part of preparing is to not stay so focused on the train coming down the tracks that you miss the gang bangers coming up next to you in their car. Threats are varied, and it's important to consider them all, at least to some reasonable limit, and I feel despotic government, with a proven track record of lying, conducting "tests" of chemical and biowar and nuclear agents on it's citizens, using the armed forces and governmental bureaucracies for political persecution, obviously minimizing the possible ramifications of y2k, and then controlling the media to be THREATS, to be CREDIBLE threats, and to be WORTHY of discussion. Y2K isn't some sort of "thing", it's an entire range of "things", both tangible and intangible. At least, that's my simple take on it. Being prepared is more than about "how much rice and beans" to store.

I find your post surprising, Colin, given that that the UK government just admitted, in a recently-declassified document, that it had been conducting aerial biological warfare experiments for an extended period of time some years ago over populated areas of the U.K.

Why discount what numerous witnesses, including self-confessed previous skeptics, are now reporting across the U.S.?

Hi John. I don't doubt the contrails/chemtrails/government experiment issue is a very real one. But what's it got to do with Y2K? This thread is an attempt to mitigate the damage that this issue does IN THIS FORUM by portraying it as a haven for people who most folk would view as paranoid delusionals. I'm not saying you are delusional - I believe that many of the NASA moon landing still photos were faked, so throw me in that basket - just that chemtrails - like moon landing photos - are not directly relevant to Y2K.

Feel free to convince me otherwise. Use evidence if you really, really have to. :p

Seriously, I haven't followed my lineage that closely, but the people in my family have all had children when they were young. A couple of the women in my family had their first children when they were 15. I, fortunately, am the first one to make the conscience decision not to have children so far...which gives me the free time to sit here at the computer arguing about chemtrails!

I don't know what _____trails are, but I do know that they are very low for commercial aircraft. They also seem to wander around aimlessly. Commercial aircraft don't normally do this since jet fuel is expensive, and the "in a hurry" jet setters tend to get annoyed with the delays. Also, commercial traffic is steady, not a dozen planes one day and none for the next 2 or 3.

Could be anything, but it's not what they say it is. Same with Y2K, who knows, but probably not justa "bump in the road". Thus, relevant.

Besides, the chemtrail saucers arent red silly. :)

The issue of ChemTrails is Y2K-ON-topic if the government is immunizing us against weapons of mass destruction expected during the CDC window of opportunity. It's also on topic if "they" figured out that we need our numbers trimmed in the event of massivev disruptions in supply chains.
