I recently figured out that a digital camera might not be such a bad idea for anyone who has a means to power their batteries and their computer. With one of these we wouldn't have to stock up on film and developing supplies and learn how to operate a dark room. Going the polaroid route gives an outer limit of about six months... the shelf life of the film. With a digital camera, I believe one only has to charge the batteries. I can upload color photograph "evidence." My other alternative is to use my black & white scanner to scan my polaroids... not as good.
